The Oaks At Stonecrest represented a strategic acquisition. Purchased in May 2017, from a redeveloper who would acquire receivership properties, fix up the exterior of the properties, bring units back on-line, and sell the properties off to other operators.

 

Focusing on the lagging performance of the property, at the time of purchase, Tusk Equity Partners leveraged key relationships, to greatly increase revenues. Establishing relationships with nonprofit and governmental agencies, Tusk Equity Partners and its management team were able to drive 100 government-sponsored tenancies to the Property.

 

Tusk Equity Partners sold The Oaks at Stonecrest in September 2019, the deal had produced cash-on-cash returns for investors, in excess of 10% per annum, since inception. The XIRR achieved was over 30%, greatly exceeding projections.
